Competition Team

We offer dedicated competition team classes. Have fun, while learning how to most effectively match your Jiu-Jitsu against other dedicated competitors. We travel to local, regional, and national tournaments. This is a great way to increase training-hours, reflexes/timing and refine skills.

About our Team

Professor Michael Kelso-Head Instructor.
Michael has always held a lifelong interest in the martial arts. The journey to blackbelt started in 2004 with Karate and Kickboxing. This lead to cross training in Western Boxing, Capoeira, Muay Thai, and Japanese Jujitsu. By 2010 Michael was gravitating towards the grappling aspects of Mixed Martial Arts and began searching message boards to find training partners. In 2014 he began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu exclusively full-time averaging over 300 mat-hours annually. Professor Kelso has traveled to train and compete frequently in several states winning matches and tournaments while competing in the IBJJF, NAGA, Grappling Games, NEWBREED, The Goodfight, Submission League, and Submission Hunter Pro. Ten years after first stepping foot on Jiu-Jitsu mats, and 15 years after putting on his first Karate Gi Professor Kelso was promoted to the rank of
